CHOICES is committed to providing a professional comphrehensive, client centered adoption service which best meets the needs of everyone in the adoption constellation with paramount consideration given to the best interests of the child.
Process
You may adopt from the United States after you have completed your home study. The children available in the US come from an ethnic mix of North American Society and many African American children are available for adoption.
Agencies specialize in newborns. There are many African American, Latino, First Nations and sometimes Caucasian children available. You will be provided with a full history on the birth mother and sometimes the birth father. You may even be able to be present for the birth.
The cost of US adoptions varies depending on the agency and child/ren.
The Process

Planning and Pre-Placement with CHOICES
- Apply to sponsor your child with immigration. Retain the letter you receive from the case processing center that confirms your application to immigration. You will need this document to cross the border with your child.
- Your US adoption facilitator will assist you with obtaining your child's passport and your adoption order
- You will need the child's original birth certificate.
Post Placement Reports
- Post Placement Report requirements will vary depending on the agency and state from which you adopt.
