Adoption » Intercountry Adoption
CHOICES assists families, across British Columbia and in several other provinces with intercountry adoptions. We can help to inform and prepare families, and support them before, during and after adoption.
Further details are available on the Inter-country Adoption Alerts from the Ministry of Children and Family Development website.
Intercountry adoptions can be completed without a facilitator however CHOICES recommends the use of a facilitator or consultant.
Legislation, regulation and policies in other countries often change with little notice. These changes can create delays in the process. It is important to find out as much as you can about the country you wish to adopt from. CHOICES will help you.
